INCLUSIVE FUTURES
Advancing Gender and Sexual Justice
The Inclusive Futures campaign focuses on responding to anti-gender and anti-rights discourses and misinformation about LGBTQI+ people fuelled through conservative religious organisations and media from the U.S. especially. Building upon the education work and campaigns from the Sexual Culture of Justice project this project seeks to raise public awareness about gender and sexual justice and LGBTQI+ issues within the context of Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. More broadly, the campaign will address misconceptions about gender and sexuality.
The campaign utilises local and regional research and knowledge to counter these harmful discourses and engage a decolonial feminist and sex positive approach. The campaign includes a series of videos, social media campaign, and a factsheet launched from January to March 2025 across CAISO’s digital platforms.
