Director
Angelique is a Bahamas-born, Trinidad-based writer, artist, scholar, activist, and community worker. Angelique is active in Caribbean movements for social and environmental justice and is committed to intersectional queer feminist praxis, decolonial politics and Black liberation. She is a lecturer at the Institute for Gender and Development Studies, The UWI, St Augustine. She works on various CAISO projects with a focus on Mobilisation and Community Building, Grants and Operations.

Omar is deeply interested on how and why people work together, especially towards common goals and particularly in civil society and firmly believes that intersectional perspectives are central to truly sustainable development. He is the Chief Executive Officer of a leading Caribbean sustainability nonprofit organisation (Cropper Foundation) and has significant experience in the field of development management. He works on various CAISO projects with a focus on Operations.

Élysse Marcellin is a queer activist, feminist, and academic. She relies on an intersectional feminist ethic as her frame of reference for advocacy and activist work. She is also Director of WOMANTRA - intersectional feminist organisation. With CAISO, she works on various projects with a focus on Strategy and Community Building.

Elron’s (he/him) work and experience are situated in the fields of access to justice, procedural fairness, sex and gender, and addressing inequalities. Elron works closely with CAISO’s community building efforts and serves as a Board liaison to the Wholeness and Justice programme.

A feminist activist since 1981, Cathy is a newcomer to CAISO’s Board, and contributes 34 years’ professional experience in information services and management, and practical experience in NGO administration with the Lions Club of Port of Spain Central, Rape Crisis Society and the Trinidad and Tobago HIV/AIDS Alliance. She works on various projects with CAISO focusing on Communications and Operations.

Karyn is a leftist and a social justice bard. She is also a Master's student at the Institute of Gender and Development Studies. Her areas of interest include queer studies, migration, and linguistics. Karyn works with CAISO on community building efforts and leads social media creation and website design.

Chandelle (they/them) crash-landed on the planet under a cold moon and they've been trying to understand humans ever since. So, they work with the LGBTQI+ community, pushing others to seek greater understanding of our community. Chandelle works on community building efforts with CAISO.

Dr. Nikoli Attai holds a PhD in Women and Gender Studies. His work explores the ways that LGBTIQ+ people create community despite being deeply affected by politically and culturally sanctioned homophobia, transphobia and descrimination across the Caribbean. Nikoli works closely with CAISO on research, policy agenda and design.
